He wants you to go hunt down enough of these Fiends to render their plan useless. You have agreed to hunt down the Blood Mercury Fiends. The man tells you that killing at least 10 of the fiends should be enough to ruin the their plans.

He is happy that the task has been done and that the people are safe. He gives you a bag of gold as thanks, then walks off into the wilderness. You gain 3,000 gold and 66,073 XP.
