You trudge through the darkness, wishing for some sun. You catch up to Egil, who is waiting for you in a dark cavern. |
Egil glances at you. 'You hear that? Sounds like moving, grinding stone. The caves and passages all look stable though. I wonder what's causing it!' As if to answer his question, a strange humanoid figure moves past the passage opening. As it turns to look at you both, you hear the grinding sound is coming from the creature.
Egil looks at you. 'This can't be good.' As you are about to agree the creature signals behind itself. A group appears, charging toward you with the sound of a rockslide! |

Required Item: None
Required Kills: 15 x Auganiton

The raging rock beings charge, threatening to bury you both under their rocky, pile driving blows! |
Though very resilient, the beings are finally beaten back. You look at Egil. 'These are reacting like guards. Finding a threat and attempting to neutralise it. We should proceed with caution.' Egil nods. 'Agreed. They fought hard. I assume whatever we meet ahead will fight harder. We should advance carefully. Meet me in the Randkluft Cracks (Deep Earth).' |

Required Kills: 10 x Quartz Auganiton

You are moving to meet up with Egil when you hear the sounds of combat. You hurry on and see Egil engaged in a desperate melee with a Quartz Auganiton. More appear to be advancing. |
Fighting with Egil, you manage once again to beat the Auganiton back. Just as you are about to break off and try to get past the Auganiton, their group parts and allows two huge specimens to walk through towards you. These each have a single glowing Garnet eye. They point at you in unison and in strange scratchy voices intone 'Intruders! Murderers! You must pay for the destruction you have rained upon the Auganiton people with your cataclysmic stone shattering!'
You realise they think you created the Randkluft and are about to explain when the garnet eyed Auganiton charge at you. You have to defeat them in combat but you decide to try to simply beat them back, not destroy them. |

Stage 4 Minimum Level: 1492
Location:Randkluft Cracks (Deep Earth) (10, 6)
Required Item: None
Required Kills: 2 x Garnet Auganiton (Champion)
|
The Garnet Auganitons are massively strong and utterly relentless. The fight is taking it's toll. You fight defensively and try to talk to them as you parry their blows. Suddenly, you see an opening and kick out at one of the hulking stone creatures knocking it down while whipping around and bringing your weapon to bear at the second. You stay the blow. |
Egil goggles at you. The first Garnet Auganiton gets to it's feet and grates 'You had us. You could have destroyed us both. Why did you not?' You calmly tell the Auganiton that you did not create the Randkluft, nor did you devastate their people. You do however know who did and have already destroyed them! You are simply making your way to the surface as best you can.
The Auganiton turns away and confers with it's fellow. It turns back. 'We noticed your fighting was almost completely defensive but thought you were waiting for the moment to strike. That moment appeared yet you did not kill us. We thank you for this and will allow you to pass.'
You thank the Auganiton and detail where they can find the now empty temple to Blacksun and the ritual site of Tariki, in case they wish to investigate. 'Thank you, Warrior. Please take this ring. You are not far from the surface here. We know of humans whom have delved this deep. Continue on and you should find them. Farewell.'
You receive 9,343,203 XP and 'Augan Eye Ring'. |
