The frail Monk takes long ragged breaths after the walk from the Winding. You're about to ask if he's alright when he says, 'Can I have a look at that Sealed Wooden Box I gave you. I've been wondering what's inside.' He takes the box and examines it carefully, 'There is a wax seal around the lid, whatever is inside it's not to get wet.' He eagerly scores away the seal with a dagger and forces the lock. Then gasps at the rows of little leather pouches inside. Smiling he opens one and pours out some fine black powder into his cupped pale hand. 'Smell that? That's sulfur and saltpetre, which means this is gunpowder. No wonder the box was sealed. 'They' have provided this, that's why 'They' allowed me to be taken by that fool giant. The True Gods wanted me to get this gunpowder!' 'Within this realm you will find strange golems wandering the land. They are a remnant of a city of some sort. It's thought the inhabitants had the golems protect the city against invaders. But some cataclysm destroyed it, leaving only the golems as a reminder of their existence. They are old beyond knowing which is an affront to the Gods themselves, as they are the only eternal constant in creation. We must bring this false illusion to it's rightful end and reveal it for the hollow promise it stands for. The golems draw their energy from a large crystal, we shall destroy that crystal and the Golems will fail. The ailing Monk looks up from the powderbox, 'Have you got that Makeshift Device yet?' 'Excellent, I'll just alter the Gemstone to our needs.' The Monk takes off the Slab and lifts out the Earth Gemstone. He then traces a rune over it's surface with his finger muttering under his breath while he does so. As he finishes he quickly drops the Gemstone back into the small cauldron and it rests next the the Golem Rune. You watch as the green stone slowly turns red and starts to radiate a tremendous amount of heat. 'There, it's now a Fire Gemstone. The Golem Rune will also magnify the heat effect as well. All we need is a fuel and our bomb will be complete.' He carefully pours in 5 pouches of gunpowder into the cauldron covering the stones completely. After hurriedly replacing the stone slab he says, 'Now take this Essence Bomb to the Crystal Source and bring me back a good sized Source Shard. And do be quick, when the gunpowder gets hot enough it will explode.' You receive 1 x Essence Bomb

Stage 3 Minimum Level: 1558 Location:Crestoun Road (Broad) (5, 7) Required Item: None Required Kills: None	You quickly search the realm and find a large emerald crystal glinting in the sunlight. You step towards the crystal with the Essence Bomb, as you do so a group of Monolithic Golems rush at you. You must destroy 40 Monolithic Golems to live.

Stage 4 Minimum Level: 1558 Location:Crestoun Road (Broad) (5, 7) Required Item: None Required Kills: 40 x Monolithic Golem

A large group of Monolithic Golems rush at you in an attempt to protect their Source Crystal. You must destroy 40 to live. You gasp for breath as the last of the Golems falls before you. But the danger is not over as you hear a loud sizzling from your backpack. You guess that the gunpowder is just about to reach it's detonation temperature. You should place the essence Bomb at the base of the Source Crystal as soon as possible!

Stage 5 Minimum Level: 1558 Location:Crestoun Road (Broad) (5, 7) Required Item: Essence Bomb Required Kills: None

You return back to the Source Crystal, time is running out before the Essence Bomb will explode. With the Golems who were protecting the Source Crystal dealt with, you reach the large shimmering crystal and place the odd device at it's base. Quickly turning you dive for cover just in time as a deafening wave of flame almost envelopes you. Looking back the you see emerald crystal split in two and the area around the destroyed pillar covered in shattered emerald shards. A nagging doubt then enters your mind. Should you have really done this? Did these ancient Golems really insult the four gods of Light with their existence? Wouldn't Lindarsil the Goddess of Magic be impressed with these obviously ingenious magical artifacts? You reach down and pick up a Large Source Shard. You receive 1 x Large Source Shard. The reasons for this might not be clear, but then the Monk will have a better idea of what the gods want. After coming this far, you should see this it through to the end. The Monk is obviously sick and needs you help. He is doing a sacrifice on behalf of Crestoun even when they rejected him and cast him out of the town after all. You should take the Large Source Shard back to the Ailing Monk.

When you return you find the Ailing Monk hunched down in in obvious pain, 'I hope those rock thugs didn't give you too much trouble Warrior. Did you manage to aquire a decent chunk of their Source Crystal?' 'Well done Warrior. This will be the centerpiece of the sacrifice. Many in Crestoun see those stone abominations as proof of mortal ingenuity over the true gods who created the very world they exist in. Their humbling will send a strong message to those fools who reject the truth in favor for their own feeble imaginings. But we are almost there Warrior, we just need one more element and the sacrifice is complete. I have prepared this recipe for you, you will need it soon.
