Something to throw at the mages, you'll need to make a second and combine it with another weapon and smash through the Keeper magical fields. Take this recipe and make a Writhing Staff. When you have done so defeat 10 Trapped Keeper (Champion), that should get their attention. You receive 1 x Writing Staff Recipe
