You creep through the darkness cautiously. You hear the sound of battle and advance. You see Helmut in the next cave, fighting a horde of Chill Neitori! He's in trouble! You charge into the swarm of giant insectoid beasts, laying about yourself with your weapon. In fairly short order, you are both surrounded by twitching insect corpses. Helmut looks around at you. 'You arrived in the nick of time my friend. I feared I was done for. These beasts have a strange, freezing touch. I think I might need some kind of anti-venom.' You look at the area where Helmut was bitten. It looks painful and the edges are tinged black with small icey crystals around the lip of the wound. You look at him. 'I think you are right. I have an idea of how to mix an anti venom. Let me gather the ingredients as we go. You go ahead. I'll meet you in the Rawneth Caves (Gloom).' You receive 'Recipe of Neitori Chill Antidote'.

You catch up with Helmut, having gotten the Neitori Chill Venom you needed. He's sitting in the dark, looking rather pained. Helmut looks up. 'My leg feels numb below the knee. The bit is burning cold. I don't know what to do.' You tell him to try to get to the Rawneth Caves (Slime Pit) and that you saw something being drunk by the Caprabeasts that might be useful. He smiles weakly. 'Not gonna give up, eh? I'll meet you there.'

You return to Helmut. 'You got that antidote?' he asks weakly. You pour some of the antidote into Helmuts mouth for him and as he swallows it, you pour the rest over the wound, which froths up. Helmut grunts and hisses through gritted teeth. You feel heat from the wounded area and carefully pour water from one of your water skins over the froth. The wounds has completely sealed and the crystals have gone. The blackness is slowly receding. You ask how he's feeling. 'By the Gods' he hisses. 'That really, really hurts! Feeling is coming back though. That's good. I feel like I may actually be able to walk instead of shuffle! We might just make it out of these caves after all!' You receive 15,153,623 XP.
