A large black misshapen figure shifts in a gradual way. Slowly it unfurls giant wings and presents it's heavily armoured chest as it rises to regard you. Light from the pockets of lava shines off the dragons reflecting scales, you find it almost blinding. The dragon eyes you suspiciously, and raises a scaled brow. With a deep booming voice the creature speaks, it's voice resounding through the caverns. Thunderous, yet calm sounding. "I have been expecting you. I sense you found something in the forest, some anomaly..." The dragon narrows it's eyes, almost as if in deep thought. "The dark corruption can be stemmed here, in this very realm. The dark obelisk. You must destroy it." The dragon curls back to it's original position, giant wings encasing it's body within a black shroud.

You stumble upon a large black obelisk. You notice it's surface is semi-transparent. Deep within it's hard glass-like surface a swirling black energy dances around in an almost hypnotic way. You raise your weapon, ready to destroy the Obelisk, but are violently thrown aside. You turn to meet your attacker but are met with a swirling ash-like cloud with a fiery maw at the centre. It's an Ash Demon! You must fend off the Ash Demon ambushers!

The Ash Demon's continue their ferocious attack on you. You finally slay the last of the Ash Demon's that were attacking you. The remaining ones simply evaporate in an act of retreat. You return to the Obelisk, raise your weapon and bring it clashing down against the glass-like surface. At once the Obelisk is reduced to a pile of azure-hued sand. Suddenly, you feel the urge to hold your head as a mounting pressure forms within your mind. A darkness, a swirl of despair, and then the eerie voice of the Dragon you met earlier. "It is done... The forest is now safe. Further journey is set before you, entwined with your task here." The voice fades... You gain 14,579,847 XP.
